Here are some pics of the progress to date. Since the truck was channeled when i purchased it, I decided to leave it that way. So this is what i've done so far. I bought some 1" square tubing and some 1 1/4" heavy duty square tubing and framed up the sub floor for the channeled sections. I started welding, and that's cool. Didn't know I could do it, but I watched kyle and tried it out for myself. Soon Melissa will be welding, she'll be addicted in no time. Kyle went over my welds and beefed them suckers up. Just cause I haven't got a handle on the situation yet.
Last night I managed to finish the right side subfloor and weld in the seat brackets. We fitted the seat loosley. Later this week we can fit it enough to drill out the holes. Then it's all about skinning the floor and moving on to the dash and steering. While I was busy with this floor project Ryan was grinding the bed bolts off. Seeing the bed is from a 55 Ford, The fender mounting bolts were shaved off and primed. He also cut the old hardware off and is almost done preparing it for him and melissa to begin cutting it down. I'm going to take about a foot off the bed to make it fit the frame. Well that's about it for now.
