Wow it's been a long time since the last post. Well to say the least stuff has happened. So let's go back to where we left off. End of april we finished the paint on most of the body. Then I tackled the hood. Removing the hood ornament and creating a peek in the front. Once the peek was complete and the putty sanded it was off to paint. Yep the three steps to the door for a nice breeze while painting. Here are some pics.

Next melissa tackled the headlight fixtures. Scraping off all the old shit and replacing the headlights. New lights, new wires, clean as a whistle.

Once those were taken care of, I started to unwrap the pieces and the frenzy began to assembly. I wrote a tune about it go's like this...

Here is the latest update.

I waited for a long time, but I finally managed to locate some JD Blitz black. All I can say is wow. Some good stuff. So far the bed, doors, cab, front fenders, cowl, and fender extensions are painted. I'm off tot he junkyard this weekend to see if I can locate some friggin fenders for the rear. Probably not, but I love just being in this yard. Old tin everywhere, and one old man with a torch helping me out.

13˚ and the smell of kerosene

Well Here is the latest update. Since the last post it's been nothing but Fiberglass, Filler and Fun. So we've been sanding non stop for the past few weeks, sanding coughing, and sanding. We've kicked it's a-hole. Here are some pics of the fun.

And then there came the shining day we got to wrap it up for paint. Here are some pics. Ryan donated the plastic, which was much needed. Here is what one night of cleaning and taping does to us.

Then came Presidents Day. I had off work and I spent it spraying the scratches off the truck. Ah nothing does a better job than Primer Filler.

Some spots still need some work. You'll have these things. Perfection in a jalopy. It's my weakness.

Once the first coat is on. I went through and applied spot putty to the pits. It seem like a lot, but it's not actually that bad. Ryan came by to help out. Sand Ryan Sand.

Then I managed to sneak in a final coat before I called it a day. Tomorrow I'll wet sand the entire cab and maybe get a chance to add another coat. Then once everything is nice and smooth I'll add the sealer and then get on with the paint.

Some final pics to leave you with.
